Why we exist
Until now, the German health market had no clear answer to one simple question: is this health product halal-certified? For over 5.5 million Muslims in Germany this meant: checking, asking, doubting — with every painkiller, every iron supplement, every nasal spray for the child. Halal1 changes that. With OTC products and supplements that are halal-certified from the start. Not as a niche. As a new standard.
Who we do this for
Young adults, families, parents, grandparents. People who take their values seriously — and just as seriously what they give their children and themselves.

About Halal1
The brief hesitation at the pharmacy shelf. The question about ingredients no one really has a clear answer to. The look at the package leaflet. The search for gelatine, alcohol or components you'd rather avoid.
And then this moment: you buy it anyway. Because the child has a fever. Because the pain has to go. Because you take something that's meant to help — and still aren't sure whether it fits your values. Somewhere between pragmatism, uncertainty and a bad conscience.
Not only when it's urgent. Also with what you take daily for yourself and your family.
At some point we stopped asking why this is the case. And started asking why no one has changed it until today.
Halal1 was born from exactly this question. We are a multinational team with a Muslim background. People who know this problem not only from market studies, but from their own real everyday lives. From families where health and values matter.
Halal1 is a company. But the idea behind it is personal. Because no one should have to guess when it comes to health. And because halal-compliant health products in Germany should not be a special request — they should long since be a given.
Transparency
Gelatine, stearates and enzymes of porcine origin are a clear exclusion criterion for many customers. Halal1 products are developed with a documented raw material base — porcine compounds are consistently avoided.
Ethanol is often used in pharmacology as a solvent, coating agent or preservative. Where the formulation allows, Halal1 relies on documented alcohol-free alternatives.
What matters is the traceable origin of every raw material used. Halal1 works with certified supply chains — the raw material base is documented and verifiable for every product.
Manufacturing follows documented processes and validated GMP cleaning procedures to prevent relevant cross-contamination — in production and storage.
Quality
Production in Germany under the applicable pharmaceutical and quality standards — regularly inspected by the authorities.
01
Good Manufacturing Practice is legally mandated and monitored through regular inspections by the authorities.
02
OTC products are approved under the applicable pharmaceutical regulations — by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM).
03
Complete ingredient disclosure under AMG and LMIV — no hidden components, no unclear raw material sources.
